Our research is focused on developing new tools and methods aimed at determining the three dimensional structure and stability of proteins and multi-protein assemblies important in biology and medicine.
Most of our technology development centers on ion mobility-mass spectrometry (IM-MS), which is an approach that can measure both the mass and the size of biomolecules in the gas phase. Our long term goal is to develop new and innovative approaches that integrate IM-MS with other structural biology tools and solve some truly challenging problems in the field of structural genomics.
