Some of our previous research has culminated in educational materials designed to teach about scientific and statistical reasoning. These materials are free and open access to the public, with the hope that these materials are useful to educators or anyone else interested in learning or teaching these skills.

A complete course titled “Navigating Scientific and Statistical Reasoning” can here found at https://sites.lsa.umich.edu/scientificreasoning/. Unit topics include correlation, sample bias, random assignment, effect size, and source credibility. Each unit includes lesson plans, instructional presentation, practice activities, and additional resources.
