Exam 6 (CHEM 215 E2)

Examinations in CHEM 210 and 215 during the regular academic year are team effort. The content is uniquely created by the faculty team who happens to be teaching that term, and the drafts are reviewed by many of the other faculty members who typically teach in these courses. The result is that new and creative ideas make their way into each exam and the formats, style, and content are not repeated or copied. As you have seen from many of the text questions, the examples are drawn from the published literature and represent examples of real rather than made-up chemistry. Organic chemistry is a living and vital area, with hundreds of thousands of pages of new chemistry that is published every year. We are true to our word that we want you to be able to apply principles to new and unfamiliar content.

The regular term exams are typically 5 pages and students have 90 minutes to take them. The exams are actually written with about a 60-minute time in mind because we do not want to give everyone a reasonable chance to complete the exam comfortably.
