SUMMARY: A group of unidentified Russian soldiers abducted the Witness after searching his home and stealing valuable property. They brought the Witness to his friend’s basement where they stripped him naked, beat him, and interrogated him. The Witness was later brought to the “Zburyivsky Kut” recreation center, where he was held for 14 hours, beaten, tortured by electrocution, and interrogated on the whereabouts of Ukrainian military personnel, pro-Ukrainian residents, and warehouses with weapons.

The Witness of the incident was a male civilian in his late 20s and a resident of Stara Zbur’ivka who was self-employed. He had been volunteering since the start of the invasion to protect the village from looting.
