SUMMARY: Russian forces detained a male civilian, who had previously served in the Ukrainian military, at his home on March 24, 2022. As of mid-June 2023, he was still in captivity in Horlivka after multiple transfers, and the Victim’s wife could not obtain information about his whereabouts, grounds for imprisonment, or status.

WITNESSES

The witness of the incident was a female civilian and resident of Mariupol in her mid-20s who was on parental leave at the time of the event.

VICTIMS

The victim of the incident was a male civilian and resident of Mariupol. The victim used to participate in the Joint Forces Operation (JFO) in Eastern Ukraine.
