SUMMARY: Russian troops shot and killed a university professor at a residence where they then held approximately 30 other civilians in a basement for several days.

WITNESSES

The Witnesses of the incident included male and female civilians, aged between their mid-50s and late 70s, who were either retired or unemployed.

VICTIMS

The Victim of the incident was a male civilian and the husband of one of the Witnesses. He was in his early 70s and worked as a professor. A gunshot wound killed him. The Victim is also mentioned in Incident 10.

ALLEGED PERPETRATORS

as described by the witness(es)

The perpetrators were members of the Russian military who varied in rank. There were four soldiers, two of Slavic appearance and two of Asian appearance, who all spoke Russian. Presently, it is impossible to identify which of the soldiers was responsible for killing the Victim because the Witnesses did not see the murder take place.
