SUMMARY: On February 24, 2022, Russian troops moved into the territory of the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant. They took hostage 187 representatives of the Ukrainian National Guard and around 210 power plant employees. The Witnesses, employees of the power plant, testify about various aspects of the occupation of the plant, particularly shelling on plant grounds, flyovers within the restricted zone, and management of personnel by the occupiers.

WITNESSES

The Witnesses of the incident were male and female employees of the nuclear plant, including shift chiefs, security staff, engineers, and heads of the plant. The Witnesses were all civilians at the time of the incident.
