Dr. Dana K. Harmon’s field of study is Social Work. Her research interests include Black males and family functioning, marriage quality and commitment, spirituality and religiosity among Black Americans, and parental loss. Dr. Harmon has 22 years of direct service experience with couples, families, adults and children, and has co-led various court-ordered groups. She earned her Ph.D. in 2005 from the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa, MSW from Loyola University Chicago, and BA in sociology from the University of Alabama. She is a member of Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society and an SREB Graduate Scholar. She is contributing faculty at Walden in the Barbara Solomon School of Social Work.
