From September 2020 to April 2021 a Senior Design Team from the University of Michigan – Dearborn developed a multiplayer version of the game Collect Connect. The members of the team included Nabeel Ahmed, Ali Alrubaiee, Avian Calado, and Agis Diamantis. Collect Connect features many collections and art pieces from the museums and collections at the University of Michigan. It is an educational mobile and computer game that encourages players to discover and create interesting relationships between objects across seemingly unrelated collections at the University of Michigan Libraries and Museums.

This version of Collect Connect is a multiplayer experience, up to 4 players. The goal is for 3+ players to be cooperative or competitive about the artifacts and possible connections that can be made. It is almost impossible to win without another player’s card since certain cards need to be present to make the Final Play and that card might come from another player’s hand. This is where competitiveness or cooperation would be involved when playing. While the Final Play does end the game, it does not mean that you win the game, instead you are awarded a large sum of points.

Below is a play session with the developers of the game!
