Elissa Donzis

Dr. Donzis was a former post-doctoral student in the Tronson lab, wherein she investigated the mechanisms by which a systemic inflammatory event results in long lasting cognitive impairments, depression, and anxiety. Currently, Dr. Donzis works at the the University of California Los Angeles, where she studies alterations in neural network activity in animal models of Huntington’s disease using cutting edge techniques such as in vivo 2-photon calcium imaging, silicone probes, and slice electrophysiology. Dr. Donzis also writes and optimizes software to automatically analyze the resulting big datasets.
