Amelia Popowics is a junior at the University of Michigan pursuing degrees in Psychology and Sociology. Her work on the URSA media team has furthered her interest in how media narratives influence public opinion and contribute to social change. Amelia is also interested in the role of media representation in both advancing the LGBTQIA+ rights movement and perpetuating hegemonic models of gender, romance, and family.
