Jessica Garrick

Jessica is currently an assistant professor of sociology at Southern Methodist University. As a graduate student at the University of Michigan, she worked on the Title IX project in its early phases, and helped to design the data collection process. Her research focuses on the strengths and shortcomings of laws that are meant to protect exploited communities, and she is especially interested in labor/employment and immigration law. She’s from Wyoming and before starting at Michigan, she completed degrees at the University of New Mexico, and Colorado State University.
