Leilani graduated from the school of LSA with a double major in psychology and sociology with a sub-plan in law, justice, and social change. She was a part of the Women and Gender Studies Fellowship Program which is how she got connected to the URSA media lab in the summer of 2021. As a part of the team, Leilani focused on analyzing, organizing, and cleaning data and also completed an extensive literary review with Katie Hendricks. Aside from doing research, Leilani enjoys kickboxing, watching documentaries, and journaling.
