Margaux Sorenson

Margaux earned her Bachelors of Arts in Women and Gender Studies with a concentration in Gender and Health from the University of Michigan in May 2021. She began on the Title IX team her first year at UM and has continued to be a part of the team post-grad. Margaux reviewed and coded sexual misconduct policies, student handbooks, and civil lawsuits and is now part of the team focusing on researching the historical changes in the media narrative of sexual violence regarding student athletics. She will be continuing her education at the University of Denver in the Fall of 2021 to pursue a Masters of Social Work with a concentration in Mental Health and Wellness. In her Masters, she hopes to continue working in gender-based violence harm reduction, research, and prevention to prevent and remedy harm inflicted by gender-based violence on our communities. In the future, Margaux hopes to work in her passion for sexual wellness and pleasure as a sex therapist for individuals who have experienced trauma that has impacted their sexual health and wellness. In her free time, Margaux can be found on the couch surrounded by her dogs, watching documentaries, and eating hot Cheetos.
