Introduction
In this activity, students will work with a paragraph from the novel to identify and categorize different verb forms and, ultimately, review the subjunctive I and II.
This activity is followed by a writing exercise, in which students practice recounting an event they didn’t witness in Subjunctive/Konjunktiv I.
Materials
Below is a worksheet which includes the answer key for the passage. The scene features Hazal who recounts (with some degree of skepticism) about Mehmet’s perspective on his deportation from Germany to Turkey.
