Current Projects

My current research, which combines qualitative and quantitative methods, includes two major domains of study

1  Research on adult personality development and aging (including a particular focus on political activism (including forms of everyday activism), and on the process of coming to terms with life regrets); and

2  Research on how gender, class, race and sexuality structure experience in the university (particularly for graduate students, postdocs and faculty), and particularly in science fields. I also retain an interest in, and ongoing research activities with students on various aspects of the psychology of family experiences, especially in non-traditional family structures.
