The Development of Male-Female Social Relationships in Wild Chimpanzees

In my dissertation research at Ngogo in Kibale National Park, Uganda, I investigate how male-female relationships change for chimpanzees during adolescence. Specifically, I examine how affiliative and aggressive behaviors, including sexual coercion, develop in adolescent male chimpanzees and how these behaviors influence mating and reproduction.IMG_7800
