The month we spent in Arizona for ASTRO 461 was one of the most unforgettable experiences of my time in undergrad. Visits to telescopes, hikes through the desert, and getting to do actual real-life astronomy observations were all framed by great memories with wonderful friends. Some of my favorite memories from this class were eating dinner at the Kitt Peak cafeteria as soon as it opened at 4:30pm and eating as many ice cream sandwiches as was socially acceptable.
