Sept 27: CALC|UM Event on Cultivating Job Skills Friday, Oct 2, 2015

TITLE: Skills You Need to Land Your Dream Job

Have you ever wondered what skills you need other than your technical expertise in order to land a job? There is a gap between being a PhD student and becoming a successful, employed scientist. Here, we present you with a workshop to help
give you information on how to bridge that gap, including classes, workshops, and many exciting opportunities available to us as graduate students. Dr. Aaron Crumm and Mikhail Zolikoff from the Center for Entrepreneurship are going to
inform you about opportunities to become a more marketable PhD graduate, accelerate your career, and show you how to launch your ideas in industry or academia.

Dr. Aaron Crumm earned his B.S.E in Nuclear Engineering from Purdue University and a PhD in Material Science from the University of Michigan. Dr. Crumm is a highly regarded and respected speaker at many alternative energy symposiums and fuel cell conferences. Mr. Zolikoff is also a Michigan alumnus, having earned a B.S.E in Industrial Engineering and a Master’s in Public Policy. He is currently the director of graduate programs at the Center for Entrepreneurship.

This event will be held on Friday, October 2nd from 12:00 – 1:30 PM, with another half-hour for questions and discussion afterward in room 1706. Lunch will be provided for all registered attendees.

Please Register by Wednesday, September 30th at 12:00 PM. Feel free to contact either Jordan Boothe or Luyao Ma with any questions.
