Hello camp families, welcome to the last week of camp! This week in the afternoon session we will be doing a variety of fun activities from past camp sessions. Down below you will find some of the things we will be doing each day, with questions you may ask your camper.
Monday
On Monday we will divide the day up.
The older campers (blue, yellow and green group) will have a day of astronomy. They’ll see a planetarium show, go on a solar system scavenger hunt as well as do some astro-crafts.
The younger campers (red and orange) will have a day of paleontology. They will take a tour of the evolution gallery, work as paleontologists and reconstruct a dinosaur, and also make either a dino or ice age diroama.
Astronomy
What is the hottest planet in our solar system?
How many stars are there in our solar system?
Which planets have rings?
Paleontology
What do paleontologists study?
What is a fossil organism?
What was the name of the dinosaur we reconstructed?
