Welcome to the Classen Lab
The Global Change & Ecosystem Ecology Research Group
We are an international group of community, ecosystem, and global change ecologists. We work on a variety of topics, but in general we focus on three areas: (1) Understanding and modeling connections among soil organisms, herbivores, plants, and ecosystem function, (2) Understanding how global change and shifting above- and below-ground biodiversity alters the composition and function of ecosystems, and (3) Exploring how scale and context influence ecological patterns and processes. We build diverse and international teams of researchers to solve complex environmental problems.
