The Earth is in constant turmoil. Understanding the dynamic Earth is the main research focus of geophysical research at the University of Michigan. Our research is fundamentally multidisciplinary: We employ a variety of observational, theoretical and experimental approaches to investigate the structure and dynamics of the Earth from atomic to global scale.
