Directions from I-94
Exit State Street (north) at exit 177. Follow State Street north for approximately 2.5 miles. Turn right on Huron Street, this becomes Washtenaw Ave at the junction with Glen Road. Continue straight ahead on Washtenaw Ave and then turn right into Palmer Drive. As you travel down Palmer Drive you will see a red sign for Visitor Parking directing you to turn left into the parking structure. As you turn left, approach the gate on your far right (as you look at the three entrance gates). It is also marked with a red sign saying Visitor Parking. Within the structure, drive around to your left and park.
Walk out of the Palmer Structure. Turn left and head into the adjacent Fletcher Structure. Find the elevator lobby which is on your left about halfway into the structure. You need to ascend 6 levels to the Plaza level. Once you exit at the Plaza level (which is the top of the structure) walk around to your right and you see the Rackham Building ahead of you. Walk down the ramp and cross Fletcher Street onto East Washington Street. The Institute is located at 202 South Thayer Street, Suite 1111, which is on your left on the corner of East Washington and South Thayer Streets.

Exit Washtenaw Ave (west) at exit 37B. Follow Washtenaw Ave west for approximately 4 miles. Continue (past Hill, South University and Geddes) around the curve and turn left into Palmer Drive. As you travel down Palmer Drive you will see a red sign for Visitor Parking directing you to turn left into the parking structure. As you turn left, approach the gate on your far right (as you look at the three entrance gates). It is also marked with a red sign saying Visitor Parking. Within the structure, drive around to your left and park.
