Kris is an Harvard College Fellow in the Department of Human Evolutionary Biology at Harvard University. Previously, she was an NSF-funded postdoctoral fellow at Tufts University. She completed her PhD at the University of New Mexico, focused on chimpanzee social and hormonal development. She is interested in the origins of individual differences in social behavior, and is studying the biology of leadership in collaboration with the Kibale Chimpanzee Project and the Cognitive Evolution Group.
