Ian Singleton talks about new book, writing, teaching

RC creative writing alum Ian Singleton (2004) was recently featured in a Baruch College (CUNY) blog, where in an interview he talked about his forthcoming novel (Odessitka), his early days as a writer, his time at U-M, translating and teaching, among other things.  Ian teaches in the Baruch Writing Program. His short stories, translations, reviews, and essays have appeared in journals such as New MadridDigital AmericanaMidwestern GothicFiddleblackAsymptotePloughsharesThe Los Angeles Review of Books, and several times in Fiction Writers Review. Born in Dearborn, Ian grew up in Alabama, moved to Massachusetts,  where he met his wife. Along with their beloved daughter, they share an apartment in Brooklyn.
