Research: I am interested in the geometry, topology, and combinatorics of algebraic varieties and their moduli spaces. My recent work involves combinatorial and motivic structures in the unstable cohomology of moduli of curves and abelian varieties. I have also studied toric varieties and applications of tropical and non-archimedean analytic methods in algebraic geometry.
