This webinar will bring together leading specialists on Punjab and Indian politics to discuss the result of one of the most critical elections in Punjab in modern times. The invited specialists will examine closely the election verdict with reference to polling surveys and the election data. They will critically evaluate the campaigns, policy issues and personalities of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), the Congress, the Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). The webinar will conclude by reflecting on the implications of the AAP’s landslide victory for Punjab and national politics for the short and medium terms.
