
Students & postdocs: 3 day *funded* workshop on “Comparative Biology and Functional Morphology in the 21st Century”, June 25-27. Workshop topics: working with morphological / phenotypic data in R. Analysis and visualization of traits on phyogenetic trees. Evolutionary models and basics of phylogenetic comparative methods as applied to morphological data. “Next-generation” morphology: data acquisition, processing, and analysis using micro-computed tomography (CT). Open source tools for CT image processing, segmentation, & analysis. Artificial intelligence and machine learning frontiers for the analysis of high-dimensional phenotypes.
Limit: 25 participants
Vouchers will be provided to cover travel costs and lodging.
Prequisites: Experience and comfort with basic scripting and data analysis in R and/or Python.
