Welcome to the WIWb Lab

The Work, Identity, and Wellbeing Lab (WIWb Lab) focuses psychological growth and wellbeing at work, in the context of continuously changing working life and workers’ identities. We study how transitions at work and life may challenge people’s professional and personal identities, and we trace the psychological growth outcomes that may result as people recraft their understanding of themselves as persons and workers. We also study experiences, resources, and practices that foster individual and collective wellbeing in the changing working life.

The second line of our research addresses processes of wellbeing and growth among multicultural individuals, often marginalized and minoritized in the society. We are interested in understanding both adversities and strengths in the lives of these individuals. At the moment, we are examining adversity, strengths, and wellbeing among adolescent and adult refugees, and Asian American populations.
