Initiative on Gender Based Violence and Sexual Harassment

I work with an interdisciplinary group of faculty, staff, and students at University of Michigan to build U-M’s capacity to engage in research and practice related to ending gender-based violence.

In May 2018 we hosted a three-day Michigan Meeting focused on Ending Gender Based Violence attended by approximately 250 people. Information about the event, including recordings of some of the sessions, can be found here.

Under the leadership of Lisa Larance, we published a paper in Affilia on the process of planning the conference.

Under the auspices of Institute for Research on Women and Gender (IRWG), we continue to work to foster interdisciplinary collaborations across the U-M compass to address sexual harassment (in addition to other forms of gender-based violence). Our research group takes an intersectional approach and seeks to expand the interdisciplinary reach of this work to include organizational perspectives.
