Marion Perlmutter is a Professor of Psychology at the University of Michigan. Her training at the University of Massachusetts was in lifespan development. Her research has focused on memory and cognitive development from early childhood through late adulthood, with special emphasis on late life potential and the effects of social, attitudinal, and health on cognitive aging. She also has studied integrative health and what twins teach us about identity, relationships, genes, and environment. She currently teaches Introductory Psychology, and previously has taught and written text books on Child Development, Life Span Development, and Adult Development and Aging.
