Setting: 2935 Birch Hollow Drive, Ann Arbor

Description: The JCC Preschool is the only preschool in Washtenaw County that offers a Jewish cultural program although many of the children are not of Jewish decent.. The program is built on the philosophy that children with a positive self-concept are comfortable with adults and peers and will be more successful in subsequent learning situations. The school uses play as a means for growing and learning. Songs, dance, holiday celebrations and weekly Shabbat observances enrich their curriculum. Full-day and half-day childcare is provided for children ranging in age from 2 months to 5 years.

Student’s Role: Students will work closely with the teachers and the children in the classroom. Students may participate in structured classroom activities, work one-on-one, and provide activities for groups of children.

Transportation: AAATA Bus Route. Own car or Outreach car (if available). It is a 10 minute drive from campus.

Prerequisites & Requirements: A TB skin test is required. Student volunteers must also attend a mandatory orientation.

Times: Monday- Friday 7:30am – 1pm and 3pm-6pm.

Directions: From the Michigan Union. Go south on State. Turn Left onto Packard. Slight right onto Stone School Rd. In about a mile turn right onto Birch Hollow Dr.
