John O’Shea

John O’Shea is the Curator of Great Lakes Archaeology at the University of Michigan Museum of Anthropological Archaeology (UMMAA), and Professor in the Department of Anthropology.  


He received his PhD in Prehistoric Archaeology at Cambridge University in 1979. In addition to his research in the Bronze Age of Eastern Europe, he is active in the underwater and terrestrial archaeology in the Great Lakes region. Learn more about his Great Lakes research here.
