On Tuesday, October 1, Miranda Brown, Professor of Chinese Studies in the University of Michigan’s Department of Asian Languages and Cultures, will give a lecture entitled “A Whiff of Nirvana: On Why Chinese Buddhists Were Not Vegans” as part of the Lieberthal-Rogel Center for Chinese Studies Noon Lecture Series.
