Sally Oey will speak at the University Lowbrow Astronomers monthly meeting on the topic of light pollution this Friday, May 18, 7:30 PM in G115 Angell Hall, University of Michigan.

The Zoological Lighting Institute will host a session on Artificial Light at Night (ALAN) at the American Institute of Architecture’s (AIA) annual convention in New York in June. Connecticut state lighting curfew2023-09-17
On June 27, the State of Connecticut passed a law implementing year-round lighting curfews for all state-owned buildings. It is the fourth state after New York, Illinois, and Minnesota to implement nighttime lighting laws to protect birds and reduce light pollution.
