Randall 2280, the IRIS Lab, has taken delivery of our new cryostat which will be used to test the new Geosnap mid-infrared detector.  The chamber will reach a chilly 20 degrees Kelvin in less than 24 hours (thanks to a powerful pulse-tube cooler).  We hope to have everything ready for tests to begin this fall.
