UGrow: Graduate Internship Program at University of Miami

The UGrow (Graduate Opportunities at Work) Program at the University of Miami was established in 2015 to provide professional training and preparation for humanities and social science PhD students interested in careers other than tenure-track faculty positions. Developed by Tim Watson in the College of Arts & Sciences, in partnership with The Graduate School at the University of Miami, each year the program allows a group of graduate students to pursue nine-month placements as UGrow Fellows in non-teaching units at the university or in off-campus organizations, in place of their regular teaching assistantship assignments. Since its first year, the program has grown in size and expanded to include opportunities at off-campus organizations.
