Of Trees and Translation: Reflections on a Multilingual Life
What is it like to live a multilingual life? This talk seeks to provide a personal response by ruminating on the phenomenon of translation, acacias, and a few favorite poetic fragments by Walter Benjamin, Sohrab Sepehri, Yves Bonnefoy, Christian Bobin, and Donald Hall.
Mason Jabbari is a PhD student in the Department of English, University of Michigan. As always, students, faculty, and members of the community are all welcome; tea and baqlava will be served.
