George is interested in exoplanets and how they are affected by the high-energy X-ray and UV radiation impigent upon them.
He completed his PhD at the University of Warwick in the UK in 2019, and joined U-M in September 2020 as a postdoctoral fellow. As part of SPICEs, he will continue to study the ever-increasing exoplanet population, investigating X-ray and UV transits, mass loss from planetary atmospheres, and the resulting evolution of exoplanet atmospheres across their lifetimes.
