How to receive tutoring support at the MLC?

The MLC has a large tutoring place in the basement of the East Hall building. The Lab contains around 17 tables, each fits a tutor and 4 students. All of our tutors can assist with math courses numbered through 216.

  • When you arrive, please sign in at the front desk, and join a table to get help!
  • You are welcome to join any table where a tutor has displayed their name and the number of the math class you are taking! It would be best to join a table where students are taking the same math course.
  • Here is an idea of the Math Lab layout:
    • Back of the room
      Row 4: 215 (and 216)
      Row 3: 116 (and 215 or 216)
      Row 2: 115 (and 116 or 215 or 216)
      Row 1: 105  (and 115)
      Front of the room

Expectations:

For a successful tutoring session:

  • Please make sure you study the relevant materials covered in class before seeking help with homework problems. It is very important that you attempt the problem on your own first before seeking help.
  • Please bring your lecture notes, your textbook, and any other relevant materials.
