MiND (Michigan Neural Distinctiveness) Study (HUM001099054)
We are currently recruiting healthy adults age 65 or older for the Michigan Neural Distinctiveness (MiND) study. The purpose of the study is to shed light on the brain changes that underlie cognitive changes with age.
The study consists of 3 sessions on 3 separate days at the University of Michigan Ann Arbor Campus. Session 1 lasts 2 hours and 15 minutes, and consists of cognitive and behavioral tasks. Sessions 2 and 3 take place at the BIRB (2360 Bonisteel Blvd, Ann Arbor). Session 2 is 2 hours and consists of cognitive tasks and a ~50 minute MRI scan. Session 3 lasts up to 2 hours and 45 minutes including a 1.5-hour MRI scan and sometimes additional cognitive testing. All sessions are held on weekdays during the hours of 8:00am-6:00pm. Your total participation would be approximately 6 hours, and you will be paid $150 for completing the entire study. You can drive yourself to and from the sessions, and parking is provided.
In summary, the study consists of:
- 3 Sessions
- 2 MRI Scans (1, 45-60 minute scan; 1, 90-minute scan)
- Total of 3-4 hours of behavioral/cognitive tasks
- $150 compensation
General eligibility includes…
