Stockbridge Lab Values:
As a lab, we strive to uphold these values, which were prepared together by all members of the Stockbridge lab. We will revisit this values statement from time to time as the lab continues to change and grow.
Personal and Scientific Integrity
We value ethical scientific practices and a commitment to honesty in scientific output and interactions with others. We are good scientists, we don’t take shortcuts, we verify results multiple times using different approaches, and we only publish data that we are confident in.
We Are a Community of Professionals
We actively improve our workplace environment by holding everyone accountable and providing constant feedback. We strive to be good lab citizens.
Inclusivity and Respect
We aim to foster an inclusive community and respect that people come from different backgrounds. Through understanding and kindness, we can share and learn from each other non-judgmentally.
Persistence
We understand that failure is a part of science. The pursuit of knowledge is not easy, but through hard work, perseverance, consistent determination, and by incorporating feedback from various perspectives, we can push forward the boundary of knowledge.

As a lab we value scientific exploration through a willingness to learn and an open mind to new ideas. A culture of curiosity and engagement in scientific discussion and communication leads to discovery. We are generous with our ideas, and with giving each other credit for ideas and work.
