The University of Michigan’s Hatcher Graduate Library invited Soundscapes of Childhood to be exhibited in the form of an installation. From October to December 2013 students, faculty, staff and the public could listen to the soundscapes in the Hatcher Library Gallery. Huge banners showed the students’ portrait, their personal artist statements and site-specific photographs. Several sound domes were hung from the ceiling and offered the visitors a unique experience of the soundscapes. Additional banners presented the project and its initiators.
