Education: Jay obtained his Bachelor’s degree from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, where he majored in Psychology and minored in Biology.
How he ended up here: Jay is a member of the Tronson lab as part of the PREP program (Post-Baccalaureate Research Education Program).
Research Interests: Broadly, Jay is interested in research pertaining to learning, memory, and neuronal development.
What he’s studying now: Jay is studying how oral contraceptives may cause increased susceptibility to depression and anxiety in users, and how oral contraceptives may lead to alterations in the normal stress response.
Hobbies/Fun Facts: Outside of lab, Jay loves to catch a good movie or read a good book. Specifically, Jay likes documentaries, autobiographies, and memoirs.
