Rackham Pre-candidate Grant Awarded

Congratulations Lorraine for being awarded the Rackham Pre-candidate Grant to assist in thesis related costs!


After a brief summer break, we welcome back our undergraduate research assistants, and issue a warm welcome to Hannah, a first year MCDB rotation student, and Annelore, the newest member of our undergraduate research team. Let’s have a great school year!

Congratulations! Neuroscience Scholars Program

Congratulations to Dr. Duan for being selected as a Neuroscience Scholar at the University of Michigan! This award is presented to candidates nominated by their departments for demonstrating scientific excellence, goodness of fit within their priority of Systems Neuroscience, as well as diversity, and potential for contributions to the broader neuroscience community on campus. What a great achievement!


Lab Celebration

The lab gathered around for some ice cream and cake to welcome our newest member, Mahar, and to say a final goodbye to first undergrad, Alan, as he starts the next chapter of his life in medical school.

The Bo Duan Lab is up and running thanks to the support and generosity of the MCDB faculty. Today, the lab was opened up to all who wished to get a tour, learn about the lab’s active experiments, and chat over a spread of Chinese food and other assorted snacks.
