The 2025 CBI Annual Symposium was Thursday, June 13th, 2025 from 9 am – 4:30 pm, hosted this year by our collaborating CBI trainees and colleagues at University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center. After UM hosted the UTSW CBI group at our annual symposium last year, the UM CBI trainees and PIs were excited to once again learn, network, and exchange ideas between our training programs.
The symposium focused on pioneering research conducted at the interface of chemistry and biology, with speakers from the University of Delaware and both collaborating institutions. This event provides an opportunity for trainees to present poster summarizing their research, network with both peer trainees and senior researchers at all three institutions, as well as investigate careers options via a panel of guests from various related fields and positions.
Featured speakers:
- Keynote Speaker Joseph M. Fox, Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry, University of Delaware
- Professor Kristin Koutmou, Department of Biological Chemistry, University of Michigan
- Professor Yunsun Nam, Department of Chemistry, University of Texas-Southwestern
- CBI Trainees from both institutions
