The Detroit Initiative aims to identify and work with a variety of community partners. This provides students with a thorough introduction to the types of community based organizations existing within the city of Detroit.
As service provision becomes increasingly “community-based,” many types of community groups provide services to the surrounding community and its constituents. These include:
- Grassroots Community Based Agencies
- Faith Based Organizations
- Schools
- Human Service Organizations
