De-centering the Global Middle Ages will take place at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, MI. The event will be held in Tisch Hall, Room 1014 on central campus. Campus maps can be found here.

Air:

The closest airport to Ann Arbor is Detroit Metro Airport (DTW), about 40 minutes from Ann Arbor by car.  From the airport, the cheapest form of travel into Ann Arbor is the Michigan Flyer bus ($12 one way), and taxi and rideshare services can be acquired at the airport. Rideshares like Uber or Lyft typically cost about $35.

Train:

Ann Arbor is served by Amtrak and offers convenient rail connections to Chicago and beyond. The station is located slightly north of downtown and will require taxi or rideshare service for most travelers.

Automobile:

Ann Arbor is located approximately 45 minutes from Detroit and 3.5 hours from Chicago.
