Who We Are

The Great Lakes Center for Fresh Waters and Human Health is led by a multi-institutional team of biomedical scientists, limnologists and community engagement experts, who seek to advance work in Lake Erie by characterizing how climate change affects cyanobacteria harmful algal blooms (cHABs) growth, production and transport of toxins through water and the atmosphere, and impacts public health outcomes, especially for vulnerable populations.
