About My Research

Earthquake source seismology is the study of the earthquake source properties, such as the source time function, fault planes, and rupture velocity.

Other types of earthquake research include earthquake detection and monitoring, tomography (using earthquakes to image the layers of the Earth), hazard and risk assessment, early warning systems, tectonics etc.

My current research focus is on earthquake imaging, (Frequency-Difference Backprojection), and I am also working on a fault zone project (upcoming). Past projects include Aftershock Zone Areas in California and the 2019 Ridgecrest Earthquake Sequence.
